Overall Evaluation- Student and Adult Radio

I think both my Radio shows met its age range. Both radio stations would attract its target audience and both have a range of announcements, sign posting and news announcements.
I preferred creating a student Radio because its aimed at my age range so I felt more comfortable. If I was to change my Adult radio, I would make the songs for a younger adult audience, for example, I would choose hot adult contemporary music instead of the older generations classic hits. This would have made the radio station popular with the younger teachers as well as the older teachers.

My strengths were the paperwork/ researching. I was good at researching adult and student radio stations to get ideas for my own. I listened to examples of news bulletins and announcements I would need to include. I typed up all my research and paperwork to get a professional finish.
My weaknesses were editing my radio shows. I struggled to get a clean finish because of the editing. If I was going to give someone advice. It would be to record your speech without any "ummm"'s or "Urrr"'s because it made it twice as hard to edit them out. I also learnt that a quiet empty room is best for recording and not a corridor as the background echos.

All in all, I felt I did really well to include all the information needed in my radio shows and am happy I have achieved a near-to professional standard. I feel that my shows are fit-for-purpose and will attract the right target audience due to the way I sounded and the amount of stingers/ announcements I used.

My radio show is similar to a professional radio shows because of the information given, eg infomercials, stingers, news bulletins, music, popular information such as concert dates and celebrity news. The way I speak is clear and suitable for my target audience. For example, in my student  show, I spoke casually like I would talk to a friend however with my adult show, I spoke more professionally as if i was talking to a boss or someone of importance. I did this because if I spoke to adults like I did to a younger audience, they wouldn't feel comfortable and may not understand what I was talking about.
